Conexus Arts Centre Client Services Manager, Lynn Severt has been chosen to serve with an elite group of International Event Managers to develop the International Event Management Certification Program. This group of Event Managers includes delegates from South Africa, Germany, Holland, Great Britian, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Austrailia. This international certification process is being developed by the Foreign Credential Recognition department of the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council. Ms. Severt’s Background includes - Chair of the Professional Regina Event Managers Association,   Certified Special Events Coordinator, Certified Events Manager, Train the Trainer – Sask. Tourism Education Council, Assisted in the development and re-evaluation/update of the Event Coordination and Event Manager for the Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council, Evaluator for Event Coordinator and Event Manager Certification for Sask. Tourism Education Council, Received The Ambassador Award for Events and Conferences Sector 2005 – in recognition of outstanding contribution to the development of professionalism in the tourism industry of Saskatchewan, Teach (via –email – on line) – An introductry course for Special Events through SIAST, Women of Distinction – Contribution to a Rural Community Award.             Congratulations Lynn

The 3rd annual Breast Cancer Action Saskatchewan Evening of Awareness was held at the Centre on Tuesday, October 27th, 2009.  The over 400 people in attendance enjoyed everything from a fabulous trade show, to a Halloween Costume fashion show and a special presentation by Breast Cancer Action Saskatchewan.  Survivors, their friends and families were also invited to sign the SURVIVOR Semi (shown above) as it takes it's message across the country.

Our Executive Chef Leo Pantel was at the National Chef’s convention with the Canadian Culinary Federation in Kelowna from May 31-June 4th.  There were over 200 chef’s, Pastry Chef’s and students attending.  The delegates enjoyed winery tours, food tasting/seminars and ended with a gala dinner highlighting local cuisine.  Leo is pictured here with author and keynote speaker, Anita Stewart.
